Education

For years, Adult Basic Education was GCI's only educational endeavor. The Westside community turned to GCI to intervene on their behalf. In 1985, a Westside preschool was slated for closure. In a matter of thirty days, the Center took over operations of the preschool. The crisis forced to the forefront previously unaddressed educational issues in the community. Since then, GCI has taken the lead in confronting and solving educational problems relevant to the Westside and Latino population.
